ABOUT THE OWNER: The owner of Arnie's Auto Body is Ray Belsito Jr. Ray has over 30 years experience in the industry. He worked for his father in his teens restoring full-classics and then owned his own shop in his twenties. In his thirties he worked for a major insurance carrier working his way up to senior management before leaving. He then worked for a parts supplier and major paint manufacturer covering all of New England all the while trying to get back to his roots of owning his own body shop again. In August of 2013, he found Arnie's Auto Body making him once again a 4th generation business owner in central MA.
Ray's family has a long history of business ownership in Central MA dating back to the early 1900s. His Great Grandfather Gaetano Dicicco was in the sand & gravel business starting sometime in the 1910s. He was the first person in Worcester to own a motorized dump truck. Ray's grandfather Angelo Belsito started Belsito Automotive in Worcester, MA in 1947. At that time they pumped gas, serviced vehicles and even did body work. Body work to cars was very rare back then making Ray's grandfather's shop one of the first in Worcester County to do body work. Ray's father, Ray Sr worked at Belsito Automotive until opening his own shop in 1962. Ray Sr's primary business was Classic Car Restoration. He was the first on the east coast to make Auto Restoration an exclusive business. Automotive businesses back then would occasionally take on restoration projects, but restoration was not their primary business. Ray Sr pioneered the restoration business. He has been restoring Automobiles exclusively for over 50 years.
